1. Acceptance of terms

These terms govern your use of the Alaria app and website. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. The service

Alaria is an alarm app: when an alarm rings, you complete a mission (such as solving math problems, shaking your phone, or scanning a QR code) to stop it. A free tier is available with limited features; Alaria Pro unlocks the full feature set.

3. Your account

Sign-in uses one-time codes sent to your email address. You're responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account) or via our account deletion page.

4. Subscriptions & billing

• Alaria Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription: $4.99/month or $29.99/year, with a 3-day free trial. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the store before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription anytime in your App Store / Google Play account settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their store policies.
• If you reinstall or switch devices, use Restore purchases in the app to regain Pro access.

5. Alarm reliability — please read

We build Alaria to ring as reliably as the platform allows, but no app can guarantee your device will wake you. Ringing can be prevented by things outside our control: notification or alarm permissions being turned off, silent/Do Not Disturb modes, battery optimizations, low volume, a powered-off or crashed device, or operating system restrictions. Do not rely on Alaria as your only means of waking for safety-critical or time-critical obligations.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, no unauthorized access to other users' data, and no use that violates applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The app, site, brand, and content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your own devices.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including damages arising from missed alarms, overslept mornings, or missed obligations. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
